I wanted to start a discussion about youth development in Nepali football. It's widely acknowledged that a strong pipeline of young talent is crucial for any nation to succeed on the international stage. Given our national team's aspirations, focusing on how we nurture our young players feels more important than ever.
Currently, we see some private academies and ANFA initiatives, but is it truly enough? Are we effectively identifying and developing the raw talent present across all parts of Nepal? There are often talks about infrastructure, coaching quality, and consistent league structures for younger age groups.
What do you all think are the biggest obstacles hindering proper youth development in Nepal? And more importantly, what practical steps or models, perhaps inspired by other successful footballing nations, could we implement to strengthen our youth system from the grassroots up?
