Hello AskNep community! I'm planning to pursue a Master's degree in a tech-related field, possibly AI or Data Science, and I'm currently torn between Germany and France. Both countries offer excellent education and opportunities, but I'm looking for some firsthand insights.

Germany is often lauded for its strong engineering universities, low tuition fees, and robust job market, especially in manufacturing and R&D. I understand that many programs are taught in English, but learning German is definitely an advantage for daily life and post-study work. The visa and post-study work permit processes seem quite straightforward.

France, on the other hand, boasts prestigious Grandes Écoles and universities, particularly strong in mathematics and computer science. While some English-taught programs exist, French proficiency seems even more critical for integration and job prospects outside of specific international roles. The cost of living, especially in Paris, can be higher, but there are also scholarship opportunities.

I'm particularly interested in hearing about the academic environment, internship opportunities during studies, and the ease of finding a relevant job after graduation in both countries for international students. Are there significant cultural differences that impact student life or job searching?

If you've studied or are currently studying tech in either Germany or France, or have friends who have, please share your experiences. What are the pros and cons you've observed? Any advice on which country might be a better fit for a tech Master's, considering long-term career prospects in Europe? Your insights would be incredibly helpful in making this crucial decision.
