Hi everyone,
I'm incredibly excited to be planning my first trip to Nepal, likely for about 12-14 days sometime next spring. I've always dreamed of visiting and finally have the opportunity.
I'm hoping to get some advice on how to structure an itinerary that balances cultural immersion, beautiful scenery, and a relatively easy, shorter trek. I'm traveling solo and would appreciate recommendations that are manageable for a single traveler.
For culture, I'm definitely keen to explore the Kathmandu Valley's heritage sites, temples, and vibrant markets. I'm open to suggestions beyond just the main tourist spots if there are any unique cultural experiences or local interactions.
Regarding scenery, I'd love to see some stunning mountain views and experience the natural beauty Nepal is famous for. Pokhara seems like an obvious choice, but I'm open to other ideas if they fit better with the overall plan.
For trekking, I'm a moderately fit individual but not an experienced high-altitude trekker. I'm looking for something that's perhaps 3-5 days long, offers great views, and isn't too strenuous. Annapurna Poon Hill or a section of Langtang were initial thoughts, but I'm unsure what would fit best.
My main challenge is piecing all these elements together efficiently without feeling rushed. How would you recommend combining these interests into a coherent and enjoyable first-time itinerary?
Any tips on local transportation, accommodation styles, or even specific guides/agencies would also be greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to your insights!
